Main properties of NABOT

NABOTA® blocks neuromuscular transmission by binding to acceptor sites on motor nerve endings, penetrating nerve endings, and inhibiting the release of acetylcholine from presynaptic vesicles. This inhibition occurs when a neurotoxin breaks down SNAP-25, a protein that is integral to the successful docking and release of acetylcholine from vesicles located in nerve endings. When administered intramuscularly at therapeutic doses, NABOTA® produces partial chemical denervation of the muscles, resulting in a local decrease in muscle activity. After a certain period of time, reinnervation of the muscles occurs, thus slowly stopping the muscle denervation produced by NABOTA.®

Contraindications

Proven hypersensitivity to any component of the drug. Inflammatory process at the site of the intended injection (injections). Acute phase of infectious diseases. Pregnancy and lactation. Pronounced gravitational ptosis of facial tissues. Pronounced “hernias” in the upper and lower eyelids.

Most often, use 1.0 / 0.5 ml insulin syringes with a 30G needle.

After 1-2 weeks, the effect of Nabot is maximized and consolidated for an average of 3-6 months. It all depends on the individual characteristics of the body. Therefore, its repeated use should be no earlier than 3 months after preliminary use.

Scope of NABOTA

1. Prevention of wrinkles. It is recommended for patients not earlier than 18 years of age. Also, the targeted use of BTA injections allows you to correct facial expressions.

2. Weakening of the tone of dynamic muscles. It is most often used in the treatment of the consequences of neurological paresis or muscle hypertonicity, when the face acquires a pronounced asymmetry.

3. Restoration of balance between facial muscles. Beauty injections allow you to correct the contours of the oval of the face and its individual parts (the shape of the eyebrows, the position of the lips, etc.).

4. Smoothing the skin. Superficial injections allow you to relax the muscle fibers adjacent to the skin. This makes its relief smoother.

5. Correction of the function of the sweat glands in hyperhidrosis. In case of excessive sweating, the introduction of botulinum toxin temporarily blocks the work of the eccrine glands.
